Outdoor Leadership
I began studying and working in the outdoors in 1993. While working in outdoor education, supplemented with work in outdoor equipment stores I contributed to the first outdoor recreation qualifications. For a ten year period I worked for a range of outdoor education providers and then with a young family the following five years managing outdoor retail stores.
In 2014 my involvement with Scouting was renewed and today I am a volunteer Scout leader (outdoor educator), I led the review and development of the 2019 Outdoor Leadership qualifications and have provided leadership and management of the Scouts Australia RTO, the largest issuer of outdoor units of competency in Australia.
Today I contribute to a number of outdoor industry education and career development projects.
